Form 1 Academic Pathways

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW

Form 1 Academic Pathways helps learners move from upper primary into subject-based learning with stronger independence. Students engage in English, Mathematics, Science, Setswana, Social Studies, Bible, Agriculture, and practical classroom projects while building better study habits.

WHY THIS STAGE MATTERS

This stage matters because it teaches learners how to manage multiple subjects, keep organised notes, revise with intention, and participate responsibly. It is where confidence, discipline, and academic ownership begin to show more clearly.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Weekly lessons in core junior secondary subjects Guided reading, writing, and comprehension across content areas Practical science and agriculture activities linked to real life Structured homework and revision support to build consistency Character formation through Christian values, service, and leadership Public speaking, presentation, and group work in classroom projects Regular assessment to identify strengths and support gaps early Preparation for a stronger transition into upper secondary expectations

Brookside combines academic structure with close teacher guidance so that each learner is challenged appropriately and encouraged to grow in maturity, responsibility, and resilience.
